What to Expect
What to expect? Our private sauna suites are stocked with towels, a countdown clock, and each suite has its own smart TV to allow you to stream your favorite show, movie, or music while relaxing. You also have a choice of adding on chromotherapy or halo-therapy for an additional fee, just select when booking or ask the front desk upon checking in.
Duration and Temp of a session? For first time sauna guests we recommend the low and slow method for your first few visits, generally starting at 120 degrees for 10-15 minutes. From there you can work your way up to 30-40 minutes with temps up to 150 degrees. As always listen to your body and stick with a range of time and temperature that feels good to you.
What are the benefits of regular infrared sauna use? Studies show that regular use of an infrared sauna may improve sleep, increase recovery times, rejuvenate skin, burn calories, and promote heart health.
Should I worry about EMF? Clearlight ® the manufacturer of our saunas states “The EMF and ELF levels in the Clearlight Premiere sauna will be mostly below 1mg when tested directly on the hearer itself. Where you are sitting in the sauna, the EMF levels are virtually 0mg and under 200mV ELF of expoure. The ELF levels in your Clearlight sauna are 3-5x below the threshold of concern.
Sauna precautions: Consult your doctor before starting a routine if you have a medical condition or any concerns about your health.
What is your cleaning protocol? Infrared in naturally antimicrobial and the wood of our saunas is also naturally antibacterial and anti fungal. Additionally the sauna and suite will be sanitized between appointments and stocked with fresh towels.
How cold will it be? We have two options available inside. If you are new to cold water immersion we recommend starting with our 50 degree plunge. Once you’ve worked your way up to sitting comfortably for 5-7 minutes you may be ready for our colder plunge which is set at 47.
How long should I plunge for? We recommend preparing for your first visit by practicing with cold showers. Start by ending your normal shower with a 15-30 exposure of cold water, you may work up to 45 seconds or an entire cold shower. Once you are ready to plunge we recommend 3-5 minutes. This may not be attainable on your first few visits, practice your breathing technique of choice and work towards staying in longer by 30 second increments until you reach your desired plunge time. We do not recommend plunging over 10 minutes.
What should I wear? Our two indoor plunges are in a private suite so dress to your comfort. Bathing suits and athletic wear are two popular choices.
What are the benefits of cold water immersion? There are many studies showing direct evidence that cold water immersion can improve your well-being. Some of the most common benefits reported are reduced inflammation and chronic pain, faster recovery, improve mood and energy.
What is the difference between cold water immersion and cryotherapy? Similar to cold water immersion cryotherapy
Are there any risks? Talk to your doctor if you have a heart condition or any other health issue that might be affected by cold plunging.
What is your cleaning protocol? Each plunge is fitted with an advanced filtration system. A 20 micron filter helps pull out hair, skin cells, and other debris from the water, while ozone purification breaks down any unwanted contaminants and helps maintain water quality. pH testing is done frequently along with water changes to ensure the highest water quality for our guests.
What is a Contrast Therapy Suite? Immerse offers the only private contrast therapy suite in Jacksonville. Our suite allows you to sauna and cold plunge at your own pace, providing optimal self care tailored to your specific needs.
How long is a session? We offer express sessions that our 30 minutes for a quick reset or 60 minute sessions for a fuller recovery experience.
What is the protocol? A full session consists of 10 minutes in the sauna, 3 minutes in the cold plunge, Resting for 3-5 minutes to allow your body to return to homeostasis before repeating the cycle up to three times.

Both the sauna and cold plunge room provide towels for during and after your session. We offer an in house filtered water station along with a variety of bottled water and wellness beverages for sale.
Our private suites allow you to change comfortably in the privacy of your own room.
While we do accept walk in guests, it is strongly encouraged to book an appointment in advance to ensure availability. Appointments can be made by calling the studio, booking online, or through our app.
Absolutely! Members may bring one guest at a discounted rate.
We understand that life gets hectic and changes to appointment times may be necessary. We ask that you understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services they need. We ask that all new and current guests supply a credit card to have on our files. In the event that we do not receive the required notice for rescheduling or cancellations the following fees will be applied to your card :No-Shows $15 fee or notification given less than 8 hours prior to appointment time will result in a $10 fee.
Notification given at least 8 hours prior to your appointment will receive no charges.
